Rumaan needs no introduction for Hyderabadis. ‘Biryani Bolay Toh Sirf Rumaan’. Though we don’t stress on the ‘Sirf’, the Beef Biryani here is a must try. Talawa is also good, but not as consistent as their Charminar branch. Beef and Chicken gravies are also quite decent. If you are around during morning hours do try their excellent Kheema. Irani chai here has its own fan base, it belongs to the strong, tea dusty school of Irani chai. They are yet to evolve into the digital economy, so please keep some liquid cash at hand. The pan wala chacha next door is rumoured to posses the wizardry of transforming a UPI transfer into liquid cash.

Update1*: They have finally brought in some swiping machines and UPI QR codes! But we would still recommend carrying cash as they are bit clandestine with the swiping machine. Also it depends on the mood of the owner, most often he may not let you pay online for tea.
